I had the privilege of guiding Mason and Dustin in the annual Dobb's Tire/Auto bass tournament this morning. The bite was a bit of a grind, as we only caught 7 fish all morning. However, if you're only going to catch one keeper it might as well be a big one. At about 10am Mason reeled in a 6lb 9oz giant on very light tackle! What a fight! Our pattern was targeting wind blown docks with shad present nearby. The 3 inch 6th Sense Divine Swimbait on a 1/8oz head was our best bait this morning and caught every one of our fish. The Lake of the Ozarks bass fishing has been tough, but the big fish continue to show up. Sometimes you just have to work for them!
